Your story can help someone else. We often feel that we are alone in what we are dealing with and then when someone shares something it can give us the hope and encouragement we need to keep pushing, praying, and believing. We have stories that can inspire others as well.
When we die to pride, self-consciousness, embarrassment, shame, etc., and share what God has done in spite of what we did, who we were years ago, and the mess we find ourselves in, we not only get free but can be instrumental in helping others get free as well. Now… you can’t share with everybody, but you know what I mean. Be led… don’t be flaky, don’t be spooky, don’t be weird… But when you know you’re being prompted, don’t let the importance you have placed on our image, your status, or your accomplishments keep you from being the vessel who can bring about change in the lives of others.
Revelation 12:11… various versions…
They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb
and the bold word of their witness.
They weren’t in love with themselves;
they were willing to die for Christ. MSG
And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. AMP
They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb
and the word of their testimony.
They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up. GW
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. KJV
Boast about how awesome, how great, and how powerful your God is!
Encourage them and tell them, “Look what the Lord has done!”
If we don’t tell the story, who will?
