He Already Knew!

The faithfulness of God is beyond adequate explanation. Please believe me when I tell you that He truly does care about each and every single thing that concerns you. Today I am simply in awe of how He tends to the details, to the things that you have chosen to accept with grace as you trust His will for your life. These last several weeks have been amazing as love has poured in from so many different directions towards my husband and me. Those areas that are still “works in progress” that can cause parents to feel – something… (can’t find the words) – are areas that are important to God, because they are important to us. God has filled us to the overflow as children that we didn’t even know were ours (go and figure that out) have sought us out, gravitating towards us, and making it clear that they are now attached to us.

Some of these precious ones only knew us from a distance, observing us when we didn’t even realize we were on display, have made themselves known to us and have declared that have become a part of our lives. Individuals with whom we interacted decades ago have surfaced and reconnected, no longer the youth we poured into, but now adults who still want to be connected to us; they seek wisdom, acceptance, and love and we have all of that to give. God has enlarged our territory, caused increase to come to us, has expanded our reach and the effect of what He has poured into us.

Humbled, grateful, and full – those are just a few words that can be used to describe me right now. Yes… God already knew what would be needed at this time in my life. He saw well in advance and had provision in place for mutually beneficial relationships to thrive. Now the enemy has to step back because the lies he attempted to plant as thoughts were never allowed to be planted, let alone take root. God has enclosed us within Himself.

Oh, to be kept by Jesus! He truly takes care of His own. He has great plans for us and those plans often show up in the midst of situations for which we would rather press “opt out” and move on. But as we continue on the path that is laid out for us, the provision that has already been put in place for us is brought to our attention and we can continue to walk with grace, dignity, and expectation because we know that He truly cares for us! ~ Dr. A
